Chin Na Techniques 51 - 65

Chin Na (擒拿, qínná) means “Seize and Control” and is applicable to all martial arts styles. It includes joint locks and cavity press techniques. Altogether, it is estimated that over 800 Chin Na techniques exist in martial arts. The YMAA system consists of about 120. This level's techniques are:
  1. Turning Finger Dividing (轉分指, zhuǎnfēn zhǐ)
  2. Upper Hook Dividing (上刁分, shàng diāofēn)
  3. Lower Hook Dividing (下刁分, xià diāofēn)
  4. Reverse Wrist Press (反壓腕, fǎn yāwán)
  5. Wild Chicken Spreads Its Wings (野雞展翅, yějī zhǎnchì)
  6. Push the Boat to Follow the Stream (順水推舟, shùnshuǐ tuīzhōu)
  7. Small Elbow Wrap (小纏肘, xiǎo chánzhǒu)
  8. Large Elbow Wrap (大纏肘, dà chánzhǒu)
  9. Prop Up Elbow (上架肘, shàngjià zhǒu)
  10. The Heavens Turn and the Earth Circles (天旋地轉, tiānxuán dìzhuǎn)
  11. Backward Upward Turning (後上翻, hòu shàngfān)
  12. Turn Back to Seize the Ape (回頭擒猿, huítóu qínyuán)
  13. Roast Peking Duck (北京烤鴨, Běijīng kǎoyā)
  14. Twist the Head to Kill a Chicken (殺雞扭頭, shājī niǔtóu)
  15. The Hand Seizes the Dragon's Head (手扣龍頭, shǒukòu lóngtóu)
