Chin Na Techniques 18 - 35

Chin Na (擒拿, qínná) means “Seize and Control” and is applicable to all martial arts styles. It includes joint locks and cavity press techniques. Altogether, it is estimated that over 800 Chin Na techniques exist in martial arts. The YMAA system consists of about 120. This level's techniques are:
  1. Large Roc Twists Its Wing (大鵬拗翅, dàpéng ǎochì)
  2. Arm Wraps Around the Neck (臂纏龍頸, bìchán lóngjǐng)
  3. Pressing Shoulder with Single Finger, Extending the Neck for Water (一指頂肩,引頸求水, yīzhǐ dǐngjiān, yǐnjǐng qiúshuǐ)
  4. White Crane Bores Through the Bush (白鶴穿叢, báihè chuāncóng)
  5. Large Python Turns Its Body (大蟒轉身, dàmǎng zhuǎnshēn)
  6. Rotating the Sky Post (扭轉天柱, niǔzhuǎn tiānzhù)
  7. Low Finger Press (下壓指, xià yāzhǐ)
  8. Upward Finger Turn (上分指, shàng fēnzhǐ)
  9. Lock and Turn the Joint (扣轉節, kòuzhuǎn jié)
  10. Small Wrap Finger (小纏指, xiǎo chánzhǐ)
  11. Large Wrap Hand (大纏手, dà chánshǒu)
  12. Low Inward Wrist Press (下內壓腕, xiànèi yāwán)
  13. Forgive Me for Not Going with You (恕不同行, shùbù tóngxíng)
  14. The Child Worships the Buddha (童子拜佛, tóngzǐ bàifó)
  15. Reverse Elbow Wrap (反纏肘, fǎn chánzhǒu)
  16. Upward Elbow Press (上壓肘, shàng yāzhǒu)
  17. Lion Shakes Its Head (獅子搖頭, shīzi yáotóu)
